The diagram above is a fairly accurate and complete schematic of how the components of PowerDesigner work together. We have ommitted some conceptual links (arrows) to keep this readable. But all of the component files and databases are shown.
Note that white rectangles represent descrete files on disk, all of which can be bound together for version control using PVCS, MKS, or the like.
"architecture_of_PowerDesigner.pdm", 49K, 14 Nov 1996; contains only one image object. We have moved this into a PDM to make the diagram available to those of you who have PowerDesigner Desktop or other versions which do not include the CDM component.
